"Online Records continues its line of pretty fascinating releases this week (if you don’t mind me saying) with Sun Rider by P A T H S (formerly known as P A T H S パス). Sun Rider combines vaporwave compositional tropes and guitar music with all original synthesizer music. The occasionally have breakbeat-esque moments that are hidden under a fuzzy production. The album is quite diverse, with moments at which the synthesizers take on the texture of a distortion guitar (“Orange Haze”). Choice track is “Ancient Fire”."

This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
